Krystyna Dąbrowska

Krystyna Dąbrowska (1979, Poland) is a poet, essayist, translator, and the author of four poetry collections: Travel Agency (Biuro podróży, 2006), White Chairs (Białe krzesła, 2012), Time and Aperture (Czas i przesłona, 2014), Soundtracks (Ścieżki dźwiękowe, 2018). In 2013 she won two of the most prestigious Polish literary awards: the Wisława Szymborska Award and the Kościelski Award, and in 2019—the Literary Award of the Capital City of Warsaw. Her poems have been translated into a number of languages. They appear regularly in literary magazines in Poland and abroad. Her translations include the poetry of W. C. Williams, W. B. Yeats, Thomas Hardy, Thom Gunn, Kim Moore and others.

 

Poet is coming to the festival as part of the European poetry platform Versopolis, supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
