Eugenijus Ališanka

Eugenijus Ališanka (1960) was born in Barnaul (Russia), in exile. Since 1962 he has been living in Vilnius. In 1983 he graduated from Vilnius University. From 1990 – 2000, he worked as a scientific researcher at the Institute of Culture and Art, and from 1994-2002 he was executive director of the international poetry festival “Poetry Spring” and director of international programs at the Lithuanian Writers’ Union.  2003 - 2015 he was the editor-in-chief of the magazine „The Vilnius Review“ published in English and Russian. He is a member of the Lithuanian Writers’ Union and a member of the Lithuanian PEN Club. Since 2020 – a columnist of „Literatūra ir menas“. Poet, essayist, and translator.  

Beletrina has recently published bilingual poetry collection by Eugenijus Ališanka. Če was translated to Slovenian by Klemen Pisk.
