Fabjan Hafner
/Austria(Austria-Carinthia) He was born in 1966
in Klagenfurt as a member of the
Slovenian minority in Carinthia. He is
poet in both Carinthian’s languages. He
studied Slovenian and German
Literatures and Languages at the
University of Graz. He has published
three volumes of poetry - Indigo (1998,
in Slovene), Gelichter und Lichts (1991,
in German) ter Brezročno govorjenje
(2001, German-Slovene-italian). He also
works as translator into German, especially
of contemporary Slovenian poetry.
He won several grants and awards.
He works at the Tobert Musil Institute
for Literary Research of the University
of Klagenfurt.
