Jalal El-Hakmaoui

(Morocco), born in 1957. He studied French
and Translation Theory. He lives and works
in Rabat, where he teaches translation theory.
He is considered one of the major young
poets in Morocco, and is co-founder of the
school of poetry, centred round the poetry
review Israf Excess, which helped establish
prose poetry in Morocco.
