János Lackfi

János Lackfi

(Hungary), born in 1971 in Budapest.
He studied Hungarian and French litterature
at the University ELTE of
Budapest. He studies history of modern
hungarian litterature by the PhD programme
of the University ELTE, and is a
lecturer at the Catholic University Péter
Pázmány, Budapest. 1997-1998 he was
the secretary of Hungarian PEN Club.
He published three volumes of his own
poetry and 11 volumes of translations
(prose and poetry). He received Gérecz
Attila Prize for the best first volume of
poetry of the year in 1992, Hidas Antal

Prize in 1995 and Illyés Gyula Prize for
translators in 1998. Poetry publications:
