Mercedes Cebrián

Mercedes Cebrián was born in Madrid. She writes poetry, fiction, and journalistic essays, and she is a literary translator from French and English into Spanish. Her writing has been published in journals newspapers and magazines such as El PaísPoetry London, Poem Magazine and Indian Quarterly. She has been a writing fellow at the Spanish Academy in Rome, the Santa Maddalena Foundation and at the Civitella Ranieri Center among others. She holds MAs in Spanish Studies from Birkbeck (University of London) and from the University of Pennsylvania. During 2018 she is guest editor for Caballo de Troya, an imprint of Penguin Random House Spain for new voices in Spanish.
