Nora Iuga

(1931) is a poet, prose writer and translator from Bukarest, Romania. She holds her degree in German language and literature; has been working as teacher, librarian and editor of the newspaper on culture. Iuga has translated many books from German, among others The tin drum by Günter Grass. She is one of the most innovative Romanian poets. Each of her three novels has been awarded by the Writers’ Union of Romania.
