Silvija Čoleva
/Bulgaria
(Bulgaria), born in 1959. She writes poetry,
prose fragments, and literary criticism. She is
the author of three collections of poetry and
two books of prose fragments. Her first
book of poetry,
(The Child of the Deaf-mutes, 1993), earned
her the Spring of the South Award. Her latest
book,
(Attentively, 2001), won
the Ivan Nikolov National Poetry Award in
2002. Her works have been translated into
Greek, Serbian, Czech and Lithuanian.
