Sergej Timofejev

(Latvia), born in 1970. He is a Latvian poet of Russian origin. He writes in Russian, but publishes his poems in both languages. He studied literature, then worked as a DJ for local clubs and radio-stations, and wrote for magazines and newspapers about art, fashion and music. He has published four collections, his latest is titled Made (2003). His poems have appeared in international anthologies and have been translated into English, Italian, Swedish, Dutch, Estonian and Lithuanian.

(Latvia) Born on December 12th 1962. He published three books of poetry. He was on many poetry festivals. His poems are translated into English, Spanish and Russian.

Kārlis Vērdiņš


Kārlis Vērdiņš

(Latvia), born in 1979. He has graduated from the Latvian Academy of Culture and is now a PhD. student at the University of Latvia. He also works as a translator and editor. He has published two books of poetry, Icebreakers (2001) and Cottage Cheese with Cream (2004). A small book of his poems appeared in Russian translation in 2003.
