Daniela Kocmut

Daniela Kocmut, born in 1980 in Maribor, grew up in a bilingual environment in Carinthia from 1991 onward. She lives in Graz, where she works as a literary translator and interpreter, as well as a language trainer for Slovene. She studied German, Slovene, and translation in Graz and Dublin. Since 2004, she has published numerous literary translations from Slovene into German (including works by Drago Jančar, Maruša Krese, Miha Mazzini, among others). She writes poetry and prose in both German and Slovene.
