Dejan Aleksić

Dejan Aleksić (1972, Serbia) is a poet, playwright and author of children’s books. Aleksić published 9 poetry books and over 15 books for children, bringing new poetics, ideas, and sensitivity into this literary field. Several of his works are on the obligatory reading syllabus for elementary schools. He already acquired recognition of the public and critics with his first book in 1999 and later become one of the leading representatives of his generation, taking since then an important place on the poetry scene. For his literary work he was awarded with the most significant awards in Serbia and abroad. He works as Editor in Chief of the Povelja Publishing Office in the Stefan the First-Crowned Public Library in Kraljevo.
