A truly lucid night: look, out of darkness
snowflakes come, whirling down town.
Danilov writes it down and there's a theology, 'cause Danilov
is an Eleusin deer - running through the enchanted forest.
A photograph was taken of him and a hawk.
He's an easy sleeper, he has a mute orbit and a sceptre.
Every day above the lake is a wedding day to him -
hear them: words flowing into wessels and booming irises.
The absolute is a well-fed void. Poets
dying for the absolute, insult they not the depth?
On a snow-strewn street in Požega
a white majorette with a sistrum takes a glimpse of him:
- There's Danilov, flying somewhere with the morning bells,
bread in one, his daughter in the other hand.

Stvarno lucidna noć: gle, iz mraka
dolaze pahulje u centar grada.
Danilov to napiše i eto teologije, jer Danilov
je eleuzinski jelen - trči kroz začaranu šumu.
Fotografisali su ga sa sokolicom.
On ima lak san, nemu orbitu i žezlo.
Svadben mu je dan iznad jezera čim to zaželi -
čuj ih: šume reči u sasude i irisi.
Apsolut je dobro uhranjena praznina. Pesnici
koji ginu za Apsolut, vredjaju li dubinu?
Na snegom posutoj ulici u Požegi
neka bela mažoretkinja sa sistrumom ga prepozna:
- eno Danilova, leti negde sa jutranjim zvonima,
u jednoj ruci drži hleb, u drugoj svoju kćer.
