Emrullah Alp

Emrullah Alp is a poet and the author of five poetry collections: From Inside to Nothing (İçimden Hiçime), Stutter Crumb (Kekeme Kırıntı), Conjecture (Sanı), Travel See Menekşe (Gez Gör Menekşe), and The Gift (Hediye). His 2021 collection Gez Gör Menekşe received the Altın Defne Young Poetry Award, a recognition of his distinctive voice and thought-provoking themes, securing his place in Turkey’s contemporary poetry scene. He holds degrees in Computer Programming from Selçuk University, as well as Business Administration and Sociology from Anadolu University. His work appears regularly in leading Turkish literary journals. Alp is the co-founder of the Yirmibirmart Culture and Arts Platform, which promotes engagement with literature and the arts. He also volunteers by recording audiobooks for the visually impaired and serves on the Organization Committee of ISTANBUL OFFLINE, one of Turkey’s most prominent poetry festivals. He appears at the festival as part of the European platform Versopolis.
