José F. A. Oliver

José F. A. Oliver (1961, Germany) is curator and co-founder of the literary festival Hausacher Leselenz. He has been writer-in-residence from Dresden to Cairo and guest professor at diverse institutions including M.I.T. and Montana State University. In cooperation with Literaturhaus Stuttgart, he designed student writing workshops for developing language skills and facilitating reception of literature in the classroom for both children and young adults. This work led to the publication of Lyrisches Schreiben im Unterricht – Vom Wort in die Verdichtung (Klett / Kallmeyer-Friedrich-Verlag, 2013). His works have been awarded numerous awards including the Adalbert von Chamisso Prize (1997), the Kulturpreis des Landes Baden-Württemberg (2007), and the Basler Lyrikpreis (2015). He lives and writes in Schwarzwald.
