Kaja Teržan

Kaja Teržan (1986, Slovenia) grew up in Škofja Loka and Stockholm. She left her studies in art history and sociology to pursue contemporary dance and performance practices, later working in a kindergarten and on a farm. In 2015, she published her debut poetry collection Delta, which was nominated for the Veronika Award and presented as a performance at the Mediterranea biennial in Milan. In 2018, she released Krog (The Circle), which won the Jenko Award and was nominated for the Kritiško sito critics’ award. Her third collection, Nekoč bom imela čas (One Day I Will Have Time), followed in 2021. Her first work of prose is Obračun (The Reckoning). She has participated in numerous literary events in Slovenia and abroad (Berlin, Vienna, Granada, Costa Rica).
