Lello Voce
/Italy, 1957Lello Voce (1957, Italy), poet, writer, journalist and performer, was among the founders of Gruppo ’93 in Italy and of the World Poetry Movement. He has published a number of books and records of poetry, spoken music and prose, and taken part in several International Poetry Festivals across the globe. He brought Poetry Slams to Italy and was the first MC in the world to organize and lead an international Poetry Slam with poets of seven different languages (Romapoesia, 2002, Big Torino 2002). In 2019 he served as Artistic Co-director of MaTerre, a multimedia project of Matera2019, the European Capital of Culture, which produced 5 VR360° poetry-films. In 2003 he was awarded the Delfini Poetry Award, in 2012 the Premio Napoli, and in 2016 the Elio Pagliarani Poetry Prize. His last poetry book is Razos (2022).
