María Eloy-García/Spain, 1972
María Eloy-García (1972, Spain) studied geography and history. She has been featured in magazines such as Litoral, El maquinista de la generación, Laberinto, etc., and has also collaborated with the Diario Sur Publishing. She coordinated the I and II International Poetry Week of Malaga. Her poetry has been translated into German, English, Italian, Portuguese, Galician, Greek, Croatian, Macedonian, and Catalan. In 1988 Eloy-Garcia received the Ateneo Award and the Carmen Conde Poetry Award in 2001. She participated in numerous international poetry festivals. Since 1997 she has published 7 poetry collections, most recently Los habitantes del panorama in 2019. Her poetry is included in several anthologies.
