Mary Jo Bang

Mary Jo Bang (1946, United States), a poet and translator.  She is a professor of literature and creative writing at Washington University in St. Louis. She is the author of seven poetry collections, including Elegy, which received the 2007 National Book Critics Circle Award. Her latest collection of poems The Last Two Seconds was released in March 2015. In 2012, she published a translation of Dante's Inferno with illustrations by Henrik Drescher. Her works have been translated into German, Spanish, Italian and Polish.
