Matthias Göritz

(Germany), born in 1969. He studied
Philosophy and Literary Studies and
spent extended periods of time in
Moscow, Paris and Chicago. He was
writer in residence at Bard College, New
York, and guest of the International
Writing Program at the University of
Iowa. After publishing his work in
magazines, he published his first book
of poetry Loops in 2001, and in 2006 his
second book of poetry Pools. He lives in
Frankfurt am Main and has won several
literary prizes.
