Mikael Vogel

Mikael Vogel (1975, Germany) has published six books of poetry, including zum Bleiben, wie zum Wandern – Hölderlin, theurer Freund (with José F.A. Oliver, 2020) and Dodos auf der Flucht. Requiem für ein verlorenes Bestiarium (2018). In 2016, his novella, »Ebola Global«, was released by the renowned underground publisher SuKulTuR, whose booklets are distributed in vending machines. Among others, Vogel received a Hermann Lenz Writing Grant in 2002, a Yakiuta Travel Grant in 2015, the Medienpreis RAI Südtirol from Lyrikpreis Meran in 2016, and was appointed Writer-in-Residence at Hausach. Friederike Mayröcker included two of his poems in the list of her 25 favorite poems of all time.

 

Poet is coming to the festival as part of the European poetry platform Versopolis, supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
