Muanis Sinanović

Muanis Sinanović (1989, Slovenia) is a poet, writer, essayist and critic. In 2012 his poetry collection Štafeta okoli mestne smreke (A Relay Race Around the City Spruce) received the Slovenian Book Fair Award for the literary debut of the year, and in 2021 he received the Kritiško Sito Award by the Slovene Critics Association for the collection Krhka karavana (A Fragile Caravan). For his critics work Sinanović also received the Stritar Award in 2022. He participated in numerous local and international literary festivals. His poems have been included in Slovene and foreign anthologies, including the most recent anthology of Slovenian poetry of the 20th and 21st centuries Mein Nachbar auf der Wolke (2023). Sinanović also does editorial and translation work, and he is a member of several expert juries and the new curator for the literary program at the central Slovenian cultural institution Cankarjev dom.
