Philipp Hager

Philipp Hager (1982, Austria) studied history and ethnology. After that he made a living with various jobs, and worked as a dog sitter, telephone operator, doorman, referee, receptionist, and proofreader. For many years he travelled around Europe while working as a reporter and columnist for a leading German martial arts magazine. In 2008, his debut novel Das Spektrum des Grashalms was released, followed by further novels and volumes of poetry. In 2019, Hager published a new collection of poetry Los.

 

Poet is a part of the Versopolis European Poetry Platform, supported by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. His presence at the festival is supported by the Austrian Cultural Forum.
