Sonata Paliulyte

(Lithuania), born in 1968 – poet, translator, actress. In 2005, she published the poetry collection, “P.S.” and a selected poems, “Veiled Kiss”, of the Welsh poet, Menna Elfyn. That same year she received the Young Jotvingis Laureate Prize for the best poetry debut in Lithuania. In 2009, her bilingual selected poems of Emily Dickinson, “The Banks Of Noon”, was published by the Lithuanian Writers Union. In 2011, a book of poems of S. PaliulytÄ—, “Still Life”, was published in Scotland by Calder Wood Press. She was awarded in 2007 the Menada Prize at the Ditet E Naimit Poetry Festival in Tetova, Macedonia. She continues to publish her poetry and poetry translations in Lithuania and abroad. Currently, she and her family live in Vilnius.
