Yolanda Castaño

Yolanda Castaño (1977, Spain), poet, essayist, editor and curator, is Director of the International Writer’s residence Residencia Literaria 1863 in A Coruña, Galicia. Castaño has published seven poetry collections in Galician and Spanish (Depth of Field, Second Tongue and Matter, among the most recent), her poems have been translated into more than 30 languages, and her poetry volumes into English, Italian, French, Macedonian, Serbian and Armenian. She has won numerous awards, including the National Critics Award and the ‘Author of the Year’ Award by the Galician Booksellers’ Association. In addition, she has been the recipient of several international fellowships. In her work, she combines poetry with music, visual arts, video, architecture, 360º filmmaking, comics, dance and even cookery, for which she has also been awarded.
