Željko Ivanković

Željko Ivanković was born in Vareš, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and graduated at the Faculty of Arts in Sarajevo. He has been the editor of numerous publications and newspapers and has adapted many works of world literature, Croatian literature and Bosnian and Herzegovinian literature, as well as children's literature and works of historiography. He has contributed to the following acclaimed projects: Bosnian and Herzegovinian Literature in 50 Books, Bosnian and Herzegovinian Literature for Children in 25 Books, Muslim Literature in 25 Books, Bosnian Literature in Literary Criticism in 6 Books. He writes poetry, prose and essays, and has served as selector for numerous anthologies. He has received many prestigious literary awards, his essays, poetry and prose have been translated into fifteen languages. He is a member of the Croatian Writers' Association, Bosnian and Herzegovinian Writers' Association, as well as Croatian and Bosnian and Herzegovinian PEN. He collaborates with different acclaimed publications and is co-editor of Croatian Encyclopedia, Croatian Biographical Lexicon and editor of the Croatian Encyclopedia of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
