Conversation with festival residents and poetry reading

At the event, the two residents of this year's festival will introduce their work for the first time to Slovenian audience. Lithuanian poet Dovilė Bagdonaitė (1991) and Latvian poet Artis Ostups (1988) will spend the whole August in Ptuj working on their poetry.

About the residency

Two poets of the younger generation - Artis Ostups (1988, Latvia) and Dovilė Bagdonaitė (1991, Lithuania) - during their one-month stay in Ptuj, will research the cultural heritage, folklore and tradition of Ptuj and based on the new knowledge of the creator of poetry. Poets from a completely different environment and background will enter into an intercultural dialogue with their Slovenian contemporaries at the intersection of various cultural influences. They will present their poetry at various locations and events around Slovenia and at the Days of Poetry and Wine festival.
