EUROPEAN POETRY CARAVAN

Start of the event: 18:00, Prešernov trg
End of the event: 20:00, Lili Novy Garden

This year's introduction to the 25th Days of Poetry and Wine begins with a poetry caravan, on which the readings of poets from all over Europe will take over the city streets, and for one day declare Ljubljana as the European Capital of Poetry. At selected geographical points of the city, which are related to Slovene literature, we will journey across diverse poetics, languages with international poets, representatives of festivals of the European platform for poetry Versopolis and promising names of young Slovene literature. With the musical accompaniment of the duo Vivo, caravan will start at 6 pm on Prešernov trg, from which the path will lead us through six poetry stops to the garden of Lili Novy and the Slovenian Writers' Association, where at 8 pm the meeting of European poetry will conclude with the art installation opening of Poems of Light and a music performance of Pantaloons.

City poetry outposts: Prešernov trg, Beletrina Bookstore (Stari trg 3), Kongresni trg, Slovenian Writers' Association (Lili Novy Garden).

Poets of the caravane: Balázs Szálinger, Martin Solotruk, Aljaž Primožič, Dimitris Angelis, Lukas Debeljak, Patrick Cotter, Bine Debeljak, Claudio Pozzani, Nina Dragičević, Marko Pogačar, Tom Veber, Jose F.
