“For me, peace is peace”: Celebrating Ingeborg Bachmann

20. August/Wednesday/ 20:30

The Old Glassworks, youth and cultural centre, Ptuj

The event is dedicated to Ingeborg Bachmann, one of the 20th century’s most powerful voices against war and violence. Explore her profound critique of conflict and oppression through a curated exhibition and a concert that brings her poems to life through music. Following this, contemporary poets, each reading one poem by Bachmann and one of their own, will create a meaningful bridge between past and present. The dialogue between voices and generations shows how Bachmann’s themes still resonate powerfully today.

Exhibition: Writing Against War. Ingeborg Bachmann (1926–1973)

Music: Bachmann Reloaded - Susanne Kubelka (voice, piano), Dirk Schilling (bass, guitar)

Poetry reading: David Bedrač, Lara Božak, Lidija Gačnik Gombač, Borut Gombač, Petra Kolmančič, Aljaž Koprivnikar, Andreja Vidmar
