The Days of Poetry and Wine festival is in full swing. Yesterday, Friday, 25 August 2023, the second Grand Poetry Reading of guest poets - the Slovenian poet Borut Gombač, the Lebanese poet Joumana Haddad, the Czech poet Petr Hruška, the Albanian poet Luljeta Lleshanaku and the honored guest of the festival, the Lithuanian poet Eugenijus Ališanka. - took place on Vrazov Square in Ptuj. During the day, in addition to various poetry readings, the Kilometer of Poetry: The Poet and the River event took place for the first time, during which festival guests ventured into the world of poetry and tasted quality wine while walking around the city and in nature. Various poetry and wine events took place in Potrna and Vitomarci as well. As part of the fifth day of the festival, the Poet to Impro and Wine event should also be highlighted, where international guest poets, Yolanda Castaño and Frank Báez, read their poetry in the rhythms of music and with a glass of wine.
Yesterday, the youngest guests of the festival enjoyed a children's workshop in the lively vineyard of the city hill, where they tried their hand at making their own wine labels, tasted grape juice and learned about the workings of a wine press.
