87th Huda pokušnja! with Nina Petek and Petra Rutar

Nina Petek, born in 1986, currently serves as an assistant professor at the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana. She also holds the position of director at the Institute for Monastic Studies and Contemplative Sciences. Her research is mainly focused on Hindu and Buddhist philosophical systems, and she frequently collaborates with foreign scientific research institutions, particularly the Oxford Center for Hindu Studies at the University of Oxford.

One of her notable works is the book titled "On the Threshold of Awakening: Dream Worlds in Buddhism," which delves into the subject of dreamscapes in Buddhist philosophy. The book, supported by translations of selected Buddhist texts, explores various topics such as the origins of dreams, their interpretation, and the practical and therapeutic aspects of dreams. Nina Petek emphasizes that dreams play a crucial role in Buddhism and the emergence of Buddha would not have been possible without them.

Petra Rutar, originally from Dobrovo, pursued her studies in communication, with her thesis focusing on the communication aspects of wine packaging. Her passion for wine started while working at Dobrovo Castle's wine shop for four years, followed by another stint at the Solum wine shop in Nova Gorica. She is currently the president of the Women and Wine Association, which she helped found 16 years ago. Petra Rutar's expertise lies in public relations, and she has been instrumental in establishing the first public relations department in Slovenian wine cellars at Klet Brda, where she worked 20 years ago. She then started her own company focused on communication and event organization, always incorporating wine and cuisine in her events.

During the event, Petra Rutar will discuss the Women and Wine Association's mission and share her insights on wine while introducing four outstanding and challenging wines from the association's members from the coastal wine-growing region. The event promises to be an engaging evening filled with diverse stories and top-quality wine. And the best part? There is no entrance fee!
